It is not intended that users remove files from spool directory. The scheduler
(daemon) might get confused and as a result might crash.
Yes, you there are chances that might not. Reason is that the job might already
been transfered to the printer, might be spooled in the kernel, or anywhere
else. At least at a place where you cannot access it anymore.
It's similar to removing (rm) files on a ext3 filesystem: AFAIK you're unable
to restore rm'ed files. I'm sorry to say, but Linux is not for quiche eaters.
