https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=297607
Summary: ntfs-3g locale problem
Product: openSUSE 10.3
Version: Alpha 7
Platform: i686
OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3
Status: NEW
Keywords: dogfood, qa
Severity: Major
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Basesystem
AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: szotsaki@xxxxxxxxx
QAContact: qa@xxxxxxx
CC: szotsaki@xxxxxxxxx
Found By: ---
NTFS-3G driver's default entry in the fstab file:
/dev/sda6 /windows/D ntfs-3g users,gid=users,umask=0002,nls=utf8 0 0
With this setting only those files and folders are shown which contain no
non-English character.
For example, if I have a folder named "Árvíztűrő tökürfúrógép" with
full of Hungarian characters, the driver doesn't show it by default.
To fix this problem, you should append after "nls=utf8" the locale, eg.
"locale=hu_HU.UTF-8".
The official FAQ in this question: http://www.ntfs-3g.org/support.html#locale
I think you can use the $LANG shell variable.
