https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=297562 Summary: knetworkmanager: integrate ntpdate Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bluedzins@wp.pl QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Hmm, it is clock related but on the other hand what does clock (KDE) knows about internet? You can turn on the service at the start, but yast shows scary warning that if net is down it slows down booting. I am not connected at boot time. I could run script to execute ntpdate as notification (I tried it) but ntpdate requires root account (besides it is not nice for weekend users). This leaves KNM with ntpdate integration -- nice dialog to configure which server to use, how often to synchronize (once per day, once per hour), of course only after connection is established. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
