The HDA Intel is just a driver name. Don't worry.
First of all, please elaborate "haven't got sound". Explain more exactly what
you tested and what didn't work.
Then, check check whether you have the sound driver loaded in the system. See
/proc/asound/cards. If the driver is loaded, attach the following files
- the contents of /proc/asound/card0/codec#* files
- the generated file via "alsactl -f somefile store"
- the kernel boot log
- output of "lspci -nvv"
If it worked with alpha5, try to downgrade to alpha5 kernel once, and check the
requested files again on this kernel (after confirming it's working). Then we
can compare what got wrong.
