[Bug 258433] gdb reports " Failed to read a valid object file image from memory." when debugging

Interestingly, Debian and Ubuntu systems have been suffering from this issue,
even up to 2.6.22 kernels.
I tried setting the vdso_enable to 0 (from 2), which froze my system, but
setting it on boot worked and I got slightly better backtraces, but frankly
still ugly. :-/
Does someone have a link to the kernel change which is supposed to have fixed
this in OpenSuse? Thanks!
