Please provide the output of
lsusb
and
ls -l /dev/bus/usb/*/*
Did you install openSUSE 10.3 alpaha5plus from scratch
or did you update an existing installation?
In case of the latter: Which exact version did you update
and was this old version installed from scratch or also an update?
