The file ~/.acsoundrc didn't exist, but after creating it and adding that line,
aplay, amaroK (xine) and realplay played without producing noise. The testsound
in YaST2 was still noisy, but after copying the file to /root that also
disappeared. Only common system sounds (like the notify-sound) are still noisy.
