[Bug 292309] New: conflicting messages on 'verify software dependencies' ( german translation?)
- From: bugzilla_noreply@xxxxxxxxxx
- Date: Tue, 17 Jul 2007 03:45:14 -0600 (MDT)
- Message-id: <bug-292309-21960@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/>
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=292309
Summary: conflicting messages on 'verify software dependencies'
(german translation?)
Product: openSUSE 10.2
Version: Final
Platform: All
OS/Version: openSUSE 10.2
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Translations
AssignedTo: ke@xxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: mack@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
QAContact: ke@xxxxxxxxxx
Found By: ---
When trying to install java-1_4_2-sun on a normal OpenSUSE 10.2 installation,
the depency check complains about some problems.
In the red line, it says "[...] kann aufgrund fehlender Abhängigkeiten nicht
installiert werden" ("[...] cannot be installed due to missing dependencies").
In the following solution section, it suggest to DELETE(!) the same package,
which it cannot install ("java-1_5_0-sun-plugin löschen").
As one can hardly delete anything, which is not even installed, it probably
wants to suggest, not to install this package. So it should be changed to
"java-1_5_0-sun-plugin nicht installieren".
One line below, the second suggestion states "Anforderung wird hier ignoriert"
(the demand will be ignored here), which possibly means, that the installation
program should ignore this conflict.
In German, this should be translated as "Konflikt ignorieren" or similar, if
this is meant by it.
