https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=288853 Summary: Changing AD password need to reconnect in order to update the credentials cached Product: SUSE LINUX 10.0 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: SLED 10 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: nicolas.dalleinne@idsa.ch QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Customer When modifying the AD password, if no authentication is made while connected the cached credentials are not updated. Procedure to reproduce : - While connected, change the password. - Shutdown - Disconnect the network - Boot - Logon with your AD credentials, you'll notice that the old password works with the cached credentials, not the new one. - Logout - Reconnect the network and wait - Logon with your new password (as you're connected to the network), it works - Logoff - Shutdown - Disconnect the network - Boot - Logon with your ID credentials, you'll notice that the NEW password works now with the cached credentials! So, a successful connection is needed to update the new password in the cached credentials. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
