https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=287539 Summary: Make Realtime clock wakeup alarm available Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Alpha 1 Platform: i586 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: tschmidt@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: bwalle@novell.com Found By: --- Please unset CONFIG_RTC and CONFIG_GEN_RTC in the default kernel configuration, so that /sys/class/rtc/rtc0/* is available, as it was removed from /proc/acpi with 2.6.22. I found another problem with this interface: echo 1182948552 > /sys/class/rtc/rtc0/wakealarm; cat /sys/class/rtc/rtc0/wakealarm returns 2051637448 Maybe a problem with BIOS not saving the century? (see also http://lkml.org/lkml/2007/6/19/264) Also it seems, that /sys/class/rtc/rtc0/wakealarm only accepts times more than 2h in the future. With the old interface /proc/acpi/alarm it was working fine.
