First of all: for the first ISO image I added the packages which are "REQUIRED"
in the pattern files (you can find the patterns in suse/setup/descr/*.pat). 

So for me the first thing should be to fix the patterns. (A detailed
description of the pattern tags can be found here: 
http://en.opensuse.org/Standards/YaST2_Repository_Metadata/pattern ;)

For me a pattern should only require packages which are absolutely necessary
for the patterns designation. Other important packages should be placed in the
Recommended section, so they will be installed automatically if they are there
- but someone trying to use just the "basic" functionality of the pattern can
just remove the package.

Currently we have:
+Prq:
dia
eog
f-spot
gphoto
ImageMagick
inkscape
-Prq:

in the gnome_imaging pattern - so we should move some of these packages to a
new 
+Prc:
-Prc:
section. Any suggestions welcome.

And for comment #1:
inkscape: 11M
scencil:   1,2M
vanity: not found. 
=> Package totem contains vanity - so this should be splitted.

MozillaFirefox: ~8M
evolution (if you want a mailprogramm): 27M
pidgin: 1,5M
banshee: 1,7M (but with no plugin)

JP: any suggestions?
