After changing to the classic SuSE-8.0 bootsplash theme through /etc/sysconfig
editor, during the next boot I receive the following line strongly multiplied
on the screen:

bootsplash: status on console 0 changed to on
bootsplash: status on console 0 changed to on
bootsplash: status on console 0 changed to on
bootsplash: status on console 0 changed to on
bootsplash: status on console 0 changed to on
<...>

I have the following bootsplash-related packages installed:
bootsplash-3.3-59
bootsplash-theme-SuSE-3.1-134
bootsplash-theme-SuSE-classic-3.0-209
