https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=280840 ------- Comment #2 from nabob_cd@yahoo.com 2007-06-07 13:34 MST ------- i have posted what goes wrong in the HPLIP mailing list. Next time i will do it here, sorry for the inconvenience ihave done this: rcptal stop rpm -e hp-officeJet # this is optionally rchplip stop rccups stop rchplip start rccups start but no change, still the printer is not recognized i also tried the settings mentioned in the Bios, but no change. also added the line "options parport_pc io=0x378 irq=7" in /etc/modprobe.conf, but no change i remember when i installed Suse10.2 3 weeks ago and upgraded it right away, i could use the printer (version 1.7.1) more or less. I could print normally one page on one sheet but when i tried the option 'landscape' and '2 pages on 1 sheet' i noticed that the landscape option didn't work. There were however 2 pages printed on 1 sheet. Not quite satisfied and i wanted to use the scanner i tries to install 1.7.4 with the rpm found on the pages of HPLIP. That didn't work out. The latest rpm 1.7.4 installs just fine but when printing a small text the printer prints rubbish and doesn't stop anymore. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
