https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=281185 Summary: fox16: --with-xim configure option disables keyboard function in Applications Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 10.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: lrupp@novell.com ReportedBy: lrupp@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de This is from an email conversation with a fox-application developer: "The problem is the following : on Opensuse 10.2, there is a big issue with the keyboard in any FOX application (adie, PathFinder, etc.) and also in Xfe when trying to enter text in *any* text field. It is possible to move the cursor using arrow keys, to delete a letter but not to enter any character. This is a big bug and many people that use Suse have reported it to me. I have tested Opensuse 10.2 with several versions of FOX 1.6.x and Xfe 0.99.x and the bug is there. I use the french locale fr_FR.UTF-8 but I'm not sure if the bug is locale related. I have tested the same versions of FOX and Xfe in Fedora Core 6, Debian Etch and Ubuntu 7.04 and there is no problem in these distros. Thus, I suspect a bug in Opensuse..." => This seams to be a bug in the additionaly enabled "--with-xim" option during configure, which was enabled for testing in 10.2. Disabling this feature resolves the problem. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
