https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=279987 Summary: PCMCIA-Networkcards no longer supported. Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.2 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: monkey9@iae.nl QAContact: qa@suse.de I allways used a level one WPC-0300 54Mbps Wireless PCMCIA Card Bus Adapter LAN, Which worked perfect under SuSE10.0. I used the Pkg from update for WLan, which is not available for 10.2. I updated to 10.2 yesterday. And did not suspect the wireless would be dropped, else i would not have updated. It took about 2 days to get everything in order, exept for the WLan. The built in wired 10/100 adapter works out of the box. Hardware: Compaq Armada E500 PIII, 512MB Ram. The gui in yast to config the networkadapters, is too simple, or hardware detection does not recognise the card. The network is up, but there is no transmission, the card does not work. It works well under W2K. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
