But in both cases when (re-)starting network (rcnetwork) I get the following message: ath0 device: Atheros Communications, Inc. AR5211 802.11ab NIC (rev 01) No configuration found for ath0 unused I'm not sure if the reason for that is a version mismatch: fornax:~ # iwconfig -v iwconfig Wireless-Tools version 29 Compatible with Wireless Extension v11 to v21. Kernel Currently compiled with Wireless Extension v22. ath0 Recommend Wireless Extension v13 or later, Currently compiled with Wireless Extension v22. or if there is really a problem reading the configuration. Adding WIRELESS='yes' to ifcfg-wlan-* did not help.
