https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=244309 ------- Comment #12 from teheo@novell.com 2007-05-24 04:33 MST ------- Yeah, you need to download the vanilla tarball and configure/compile it yourself. http://kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.6/linux-2.6.21.2.tar.bz2 The following is a howto on building a kernel. http://www.digitalhermit.com/linux/Kernel-Build-HOWTO.html Just build with libata ata_piix, scsi sd and your network interface card, ext3 fs built-in (not module). You don't need to generate initrd or even edit /boot/grub/menu.lst. After building the kernel, reboot and in the grub prompt, type 'e' which lets you edit the boot command line. Change the kernel parameter to point to the new kernel (tab completion works) and press enter. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
