[Bug 273098] Update to kernel 2.6.18.8.0-3 makes shared libraries unaccessible

I installed opensuse 10.2 from scratch. Then I installed all the available
updates, expect the two kernel security updates, thinking that one of these is
causing the problem. However, my pc didn't boot properly again.
Now I reinstalled it again and have a working pc. But which update or updates
is causing this behavior? Apparently, it's not the kernel update...
I would like to find the bug, so I can enjoy the automatic updates. How to
proceed?
