https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=275550 Summary: kernel 2.6.18.8-0.3 Oops after update Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: robert.simai@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de I updated via YOU and got kernel-default-2.6.18.8-0.3 (+kernel-syms and kernel-source). After a reboot the system throws an Oops quickly. I tried this a couple of times with powering off in between. System is a MSI 7250, Athlon X2 4600, 2GB RAM. I'll attach the hwinfo and two screen photos of the Oops. I can't easily run a serial console, sorry. I went back to kernel-default-2.6.18.8-0.1 that does not show the problem. I still have also .8-0.3 installed and can boot it. Let me know if there's something I should try out.
