[Bug 263861] USB Webcam does not work correctly since SuSE 10.0

I do the tests on openSuSE 10.2.
I downloaded the binary rpm and installed it with rpm -Uvh
bug-263861_......rpm.
I verified that no ov511 module is loaded (because the cam was not plugged in
since the last powerup.
After plugging in the CAM, I see the following in dmesg:

usb 1-2.3: new device found, idVendor=05a9, idProduct=a511
usb 1-2.3: new device strings: Mfr=0, Product=0, SerialNumber=0

Then I tried "xawtv -hwscan". On SuSE 10.0, I see then at least the
video-device, but here (on OS 10.2) I see the following:

This is xawtv-3.95, running on Linux/i686 (2.6.18.8-0.1-default)
