https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=272937 Summary: Add option to run ntp-service as cron-job instead of on- boot Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: sven.burmeister@gmx.net QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Currently one can choose to never start the ntp-daemon or start it on-boot. The problem is that more and more systems make use of NetworkManager, i.e. there is not internet-connection when booting. Yet that does not mean that one wants to use an ntp-daemon. For those users a cron-job option would be very comfortable. Maybe there is even a way to let NetworkManager trigger this service when a connection was established. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
