Every now and then, while performing large updates, YaST will get stuck. After
terminating it, sometimes it works, sometimes not.

In the cases where it refuses to work usually something is wrong with the rpm
database. 

The only cure I found so far, is rebuild the rpm database as per
http://www.rpm.org/hintskinks/repairdb/

As this is something that doesn't spring to mind ( at least not my one ) and
the average user will have a hard time in finding out, I suggest adding this
functionality to YaST.
