[Bug 269856] Network Manager shows "No Network Connection" yet internet access available through WLAN

Addendum for Comment #6:
"After loss of network I tried to reconnect, by selecting one of the listed APs
in nm-applet."
This involves getting asked for the passphrase for the selected network
repeatedly. Entering one a couple of times, but also pressing cancel a few
times then results in.
"After a while nm-applet shows disconnected, while the WLAN indicator becomes
stable. Issuing ifup eth1:"
