Yes, but i'm not sure how i want to handle it, maybe i will move
http://en.opensuse.org/Pm-utils to .../Pm-utils-10_2 and create a new version
for the "current" version (which should not change very much in the future, the
10.2 version was rather "alpha" :-)

No, that's perfectly fine, it is just that i was not sure if you were running
an old version (i do not know exactly how often the internal repository is
synced to factory), so i just wanted to make sure.

This one should be correct (it is the same one i am running :-).
You can try (as root, from a terminal window) "pm-suspend", which
bypasses all the kpowersave / HAL / kde menu stuff. If this works,
we can investigate why the other methods fail.
If this also fails, please attach your /etc/pm/config.d/config (note
the config file must reside in the config.d subdirectory) and
/var/log/pm-suspend.log
