https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=118131 ------- Comment #104 from mfabian@novell.com 2007-03-26 07:18 MST ------- Sven Burmeister> Will those packages be available via YOU? I'm not sure whether this makes sense or not. Sven Burmeister> Or do they only work with 2.1 anyway? Yes, they work *only* with 2.1. There is no effect whatsoever with the OpenOffice_org 2.0.4 originally distributed with openSUSE 10.2. And I am worried what might happen with the next release of OpenOffice_org. If OpenOffice keeps fiddling with the hinting settings, I am afraid that problems will pop up again. I changed the default fontconfig setup only to workaround this special problem of OpenOffice_org, I know of no other applications which needs that. If I have a certain setup in fontconfig, I expect it to be used. Other applications use the fontconfig setup as intended, i.e. the user can know what change in the fontconfig setup achieves what. But when OpenOffice ignores it and overrides it in such unpredictable ways which may even change with each release, how is the user supposed to understand what happens and what changes in the fontconfig setup have what effect? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
