------- Comment #5 from Joachim.Reichelt@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 2007-03-23 01:40 MST -------
O.K.
I removed all USB drives and booted into runlevel 3.
Than I removed all modules (rmmod) that could be removed, unmounted all but /
and /boot an than did a
powersave -U
pushed the powerbutton to get the machine up.
resume seemed to be successfull, but the drive(s) were unacessable.
On console 10 I watched a lot of scsi errors, I could not read, scrolling too
fast.
This lasted for several minutes. on console 1, where I entered the powersave -U
a ls worked. But a dmesg > dmesg.out hangs forever.
It seems to me that the system was in an endless loop.
The only scsi drivers loaded were aic7xxx and the ide-driver.
After switching by <alt>F1 and <alt>F10 a lot of times the system suddnely
stopped. Kernal panic. I tried it several times, but I was always on console 1
at the end.
