------- Comment #2 from casualprogrammer@xxxxxxxxx 2007-03-21 10:22 MST -------
Obviously this stems from a file .local/share/gnome-main-menu/applications.xbel

it is xml and contains one entry per added program to start on login, firefox
looks as follows:

added="2007-03-05T11:01:55Z" modified="2007-03-05T11:01:55Z"
visited="2007-03-05T11:01:55Z">
<info>
<metadata owner="http://freedesktop.org";>
<mime:mime-type type="application/x-desktop"/>
<bookmark:applications>
<bookmark:application name="Firefox" exec="firefox %u"
timestamp="1173092515" count="1"/>
</bookmark:applications>
</metadata>
</info>
</bookmark>
<bookmark href="file:///usr/share/applications/evolution.desktop"

"%u" is probably meant to contain something, but obviously it never gets
initialized.

When typing

exec="firefox %u"

in a command terminal, the same behaviour is displayed.
