I can reproduce this problem on 10.2, but not with 10.3 Alpha or 10.2 with current X.Org packages. Currently I don't plan to investigate this issue and release any updates. Maybe you could use Xephyr instead? This seems to work on openSUSE 10.2. Just checked this.
please check bug #235320 again, Xephyr is still broken for 64 bit! "fixing" Xnest on x86_64 by messing around with 32bit Xephyr isn't really cool :-( mixing 32 and 64 bit binaries from xorg-x11-server is not really an option e.g. the next online update for that RPM would clobber the 32bit Xephyr again...
