Right now there are only two profiles in Gnome Power Manager - with and without
power cable.

It would be great if there would be more profiles in the Gnome Power Manager,
like  a profile for "Presentations" where the screensaver and monitor power
function is disabled. So you can setup your notebook for a presentation with
just one click.

Have a look at KPowersave - there you can right click on tray icon and choose a
profile on the fly.
