https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=246897 Summary: A request for the support of literal modem ip address in the DSL module of Yast. Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: slonoinquisitor@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com DSL module in Yast does not accept Modem IP Address written in letters, e.g. in the form of fvpn.fryazino.net. This leads to an error: "Modem IP address is invalid". Only numerical address is allowed, like 192.168.2.1. Since providers often do not assign a fixed numerical address to the VPN server and require that the address should be resolved through the DNS, it is desirable that Yast supports the literal addresses too. A workaround is to edit a config file /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-dsl0 manually, but this complicates any further edit of the dsl0 interface through Yast, since its DSL module won't accept the literal address again. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
