Well, I tried it out... again and again...

The bad news is: I cannot reproduce it. :( Your descriptions lacks of some
important information.
I can deny access via /etc/hosts.deny, I can grant access, and I can spawn
several subprocesses via /etc/hosts.allow.
But I don't get any information into any logfile (hint: is there an additional
logging configuration necessary, and this part missing in the requested
_detailed_ description?).

To verbalize it again: your configuration is far away from a default
configuration, and your logging configuration seems not to be default neither,
so I don't see any danger of a DOS. Keep in mind, if you configure your system
to do a lot of logging, you'll get it. This is no DOS attack.

Provide me the required information to reproduce it and I'll be working on it
again. So I'm asking you (or anyone else) again for providing a _detailed_
description for a test setup.
