https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=235755 Summary: import SVG pictures Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: SuSE Linux 10.1 Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: OpenOffice.org AssignedTo: eward@novell.com ReportedBy: estellnb@lycos.at QAContact: qa@suse.de At the present it is not possible to import a SVG-picture into an OpenOffice document directly, neither via the clipboard nor via Insert->Picture->From File. SVG support for OO would be very helpful since it is the standard Metafile format under Linux (Incscape, Umbrello, Gnumeric, Dia, ...). The only way I know to use SVG files from these programs is to convert them by karbon14 to WMF, which is an error prone task. Using a bitmap snapshot is not acceptible, because bitmaps require a lot of storage and are not scalable. Converting them to postscript first would require the possibility to trim the graphic margins by OpenOffice (i.e. to cut the surrounding whitespace off). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
