It seem's that XVMC_CONFIGDIR has not been configured correctly while building
libXvMCW.

A workaround is to create a link from /usr/etc to /etc:

ln -s ../etc /usr

XvMCConfig is then found at /etc/X11 (where it typically resides) once it has
been created and filled with useful data ;-)
