amarok is compiled without helix support. Due to this issue, no mp3 support is
avaible at all in amarok.

At http://en.opensuse.org/Restricted_Formats is discribed (chapter "MP3"), that
mp3 support is avaible in opensuse exclusivly trought helix, and that helix can
be used by amarok and banshee.

As helix is the only possibility in opensuse to decode mp3, helix support
should be part of the default amarok package, so that it is installed by
default and no extra installation is requiered.
