https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=230524 Summary: Compiz crashes with xcb (with patch) Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: All URL: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8521 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Xgl AssignedTo: dreveman@novell.com ReportedBy: simon.strandman@telia.com QAContact: bperry@novell.com I updated to the latest x11/xgl/compiz stuff from repos.opensuse.org. After that compiz wouldn't run anymore. It just crashed with this error: simon@Isidor:~> compiz compiz: xcb_xlib.c:50: xcb_xlib_unlock: Assertion `c->xlib.lock' failed. Avbruten (SIGABRT) The problem is that the compiz rpm contains old mesa code that has a bug that xcb triggers (fdo bug #8521). Mesa 6.5.2 has this bug fixed. I've taken the patch from the freedesktop bugzilla and adapted it to the mesa snapshot in the compiz srpm. With this patch applied compiz no longer crashes with xcb! -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
