https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=230282 Summary: Mouse freezing Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: 64bit OS/Version: SuSE Linux 10.1 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jls4316@yahoo.com QAContact: qa@suse.de My Problem: I installed SUSE Linux 10.1 on a brand new Dell (no o/s), Athlon dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 180GB drive, etc. Install seemed to work, but after a few minutes the mouse freezes, just locks up and won't unlock until it's unplugged and plugged back in. The problem seems to repeat intermittently, but in 5-15 minute intervals. While the “fix” is easy, I don't want to have unplug & plug my mouse 4-6 times every hour. I've tried other mice, switched USB ports, nothing corrects the problem. This seems similar to Bug # 177485 Background: I first used this install-DVD for SUSE Linux 10.1 (from one of SAM's books) on an older PC (Win98 vintage) and after a few false starts, got it working perfectly (or at least it appeared to). Then its power supply went belly-up. So, do I spend $s on an older machine or buy new? ... I bought the above machine. The install DVD works, at least it did on the older machine No mouse freezing on that box. Help would be appreciated, as otherwise, this is a great system. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
