https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=229889 Summary: Frozen Bubble / Network game Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: dominique.leuenberger@tmf-group.com QAContact: qa@suse.de I can not start frozen bubble in LAN Mode. After selecting 'start lan game' it get's to the 'map', scans for servers, decides there is no server (which is true), falls back to create a server and after 1 - 2 seconds, drops me back to the menu. When starting FB from the shell to see debug messages, I can see the following errors: -l: creating UDP server for answering broadcast server discovery, on default port 1511 -d: debug mode on: will not daemonize and will display log messages on STDERR -n: name is too long, maximum 12 characters Couldn't connect to localhost:1511: IO::Socket::INET: connect: timeout If I start the game with frozen-bubble --my-nick Domi then I can see that it creates a game-name lan-Domi, so I assume it picks my login-name (which is dominique) for the normal case. Together with lan- it will reach 13 chars... thus exceeding the 12 char limit. Still, the game can not start in lan mode... with --my-nick domi, the following output is generated: -l: creating UDP server for answering broadcast server discovery, on default port 1511 -d: debug mode on: will not daemonize and will display log messages on STDERR -n: setting servername to lan-Domi -z: no preferred language for users of the server [timestamp] INFO log.c:83(logging_init): starting log, Messages displayed: INFO,ERROR [timestamp] INFO net.c:759(create_server): Create TCP game server on port 1511. Servername is 'lan-Domi'. couldn't connect to localhost:1511: IO::Socket::INET: connectL timeout [timestamp] INFO log.c:70(sigterm_catcher): Received SIGTERM, terminating. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
