I am able to reproduce the problem with glibc-2.5-25 !

elm3a84:~ # uname -a

x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
elm3a84:~ # rpm -q glibc
glibc-2.5-25
elm3a84:~ # java -version
libjvm.so preloadLibrary: /libj9vm22.so: cannot open shared object file: No
such
file or directory
libjvm.so failed to load: j9vm22
