https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=225135 ------- Comment #12 from matthias.mh@web.de 2006-12-16 05:04 MST ------- (In reply to comment #11) I made similar experiences with one of my devices: I have several USB devices which worked fine under several Suse version including 10.2. The one I'm having trouble with is a Freecom Classic HD USB 2 with a fat32 partition. It worked fine up to Suse 9.3. (I'm not sure if used it under a 10.0 system) Under 10.1 it showed the following behavior: When plugged in the drive spun up, spun down, up again, and so on ... This phenomenon repeated a random number X times until it was correctly mounted. A typical X was between 3 and 20. Under 10.2: Same behavior but X -> infinity, which means it is never recognized by the system. The same drive works flawlessly with Kubuntu 6.06 and Windows XP on the same system and on other systems. I can confirm the system independency since I observed it (under Suse 10.1 and 10.2) on completely different machines as well.
