Just tried out some updates, and tracked down that the above package in
Backports causes the x86_64 (all I run, don't know about i386) version of
Thunderbird to segmentation fault when it tries to start thunderbird-bin.

It faults with both 1.5.0.8 and the latest 1.99.1-34.2 versions.  Just thought
you ought to know.  Downgrading back to 0.45.3-18 fixes the problem.  I don't
know, but there is also a -32bit package which was still at 0.45.3-18, I don't
think but not sure it being a lower version would matter since thunderbird is
an x86_64 version.
