https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=226978 Summary: Networked installation defaults to Wireless in PXE environment Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: per.lindahl@bea.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Hi, The server is running debian ppc and the client is a Dell Latitude C640 with an ipw2200 compatible wireless card beside the internal 3com card. I PXE booted the installation on the C640 and it recognized the system as a Dell Latitude C640 with the above mentioned newtork interfaces. When i reached the first part of the installation Yast asked me for my wireless settings (which is fine). Since I don't use wireless I just chose OK in all the following dialogs. which resolted in the installation system not finding the installation server. Due to the installation system choosing wlan over lan. To get it to work I had to unload the ipw2200 module and then chose networked installation. Then I got to choose the eth0 as my installation device(3com). After this I could continue the network installation and so far everything has gone well.
