When clicking on the taskbar to activate apps, it happens most of the time that
the highlighting in the taskbar doesn't get updated.
i.e. if i have Opera, Konsole and KMail opened, and KMail is in foreground,
focused and written in bold, and i switch to e.g. Opera, not matter how (by
clicking on the taskbar, via Alt-Tab, ...) the entry for KMail stays bold, bot
now Opera is in the foreground. Sometimes Opera doesn't even get the
window-focus automatically, and i have to explicitly click into the opera
window.

It also happens that closed windows don't disappear from the taskbar. when i
click on those entries, nothing happens.

My focus setup is focus on click btw.
