While ipw3945 is detected and configured properly on installation, kismet fails
with "no monitor mode". The ipw3945 module has to be recompiled manually after
setting the monitor mode params in Makefile. ( This is not trivial )

This does not make sense. If software is offered in YaST, relying absolutely on
monitor mode, the respective SuSE provided driver should have monitor mode
enabled.
