Summary: EVMS install break because /boot partition
unmountable/occupied by evms but not in dmsetup list
Product: openSUSE 10.2
Version: RC 3
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: Major
Priority: P5 - None
Component: YaST2
AssignedTo: fehr@xxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: jplack@xxxxxxxxxx
QAContact: jsrain@xxxxxxxxxx
Did a EVMS install of 10.2RC3 on an x86_64 machine.
Partition proposal looked ok, /boot is /dev/hda7
Did a minimal, text-only install.
install went ok until reboot into the system:
/boot could not be mounted bug /dev/evms/hda7 instead.
dmsetup remove hda7 did not work either, dmsetup ls did _not_ show hda7
as being used.
After changing /dev/hda7 to /dev/evms/hda7 in /etc/fstab I could reboot and
continue installation up to the very end.
