https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=224082 Summary: yast2-vm does not prompt for CD1 to start paravirtulized vm install from CD Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: RC 2 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Xen AssignedTo: carnold@novell.com ReportedBy: jdouglas@novell.com QAContact: jdouglas@novell.com CC: ccoffing@novell.com, lbendixs@novell.com When using SLES 10 to install paravirtualized VMs from CD, yast2-vm asked for CD5, extracted the necessary file(s), then asked for CD1, and did the same. This was done intentionally to ensure that CD1 was in the drive when the VM installation began. However, in openSUSE 10.2 RC2, yast2-vm asks for CD5, but then begins the VM installation without prompting for CD1. As a result, the installation program enters manual mode in linuxrc because it cannot find CD1 (and it doesn't tell you that you need to put CD1 in the drive). yast2-vm needs to prompt for CD1 before beginning the VM install. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
