https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=223695 Summary: Runtime link error with selfbuilt CUPS Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: RC 1 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Printing AssignedTo: jsmeix@novell.com ReportedBy: jengelh@gmx.de QAContact: jsmeix@novell.com Rebuilding the cups-1.2.7-2.src.rpm from factory produces a cupsd binary which cannot run because it cannot find a symbol: cupsd: symbol lookup error: cupsd: undefined symbol: _httpReadGNUTLS The problem is already during linking of this file. For some very strange reason, linking cupsd succeeds even though there is this unresolved symbol left. It almost seems like cups-1.2.7/cups/libcups.a:http.o is not linked into the final binary - and I have no idea why this happens. binutils bug? Adding http.o explicitly to the link command works around the issue, but that's not a proper solution. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
