I think this is a very small thing to fix, but very high usability improvement:

the package GQView should recommend (probably not require, as it can be used
without) the package jpeg.

WHY: GQView is configured to do the image rotation tasks using the program
jpegtran, which is found in the package jpeg (6b).
Unfortunately, on a standard installation, this package get's not installed,
even when GQView is installed later.
