Java applets on webpages do not work at all, neither in konqueror nor in
firefox.

environment:

SuSE 10.1 64bit, kde 3.5.5 from buildtree, firefox 2.0 from buildtree.
and YES i know that builkdtree stuff is not officially supported. but you guys
should at least know the fact when something's broken.

btw, applets work on a similar installation on a 32bit box.

should i install the i586 java packages instead of the x86_64 packages on the
x86_64 box? the x86_64 packages were installed by yast2 by default.
