https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=220353 Summary: Pan 0.14.2 newsreader header pane color malfunction Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: 32bit OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: imotgm@yahoo.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Edit -> Preferences -> Colors Top two items for read, and unread color can be set to any desired colors, but the actual headers remain black. The problem is not in the pan binary, but rather in one of the supporting libraries. The Pan binary from SUSE can be copy pasted into another distribution, and it will function properly. A properly functioning Pan binary from another distribution can be copy pasted to SUSE, and it will display the above mentioned defect. I have tested this by transferring between SUSE, Mandrake/Mandriva, PCLinuxOS, and Slackware. The problem first appeared in SuSE 9.1, and has persisted to the present. Whatever supports Pan, in the background needs to be fixed, or the problem will carry through to the 10.2 release, now pending. If any other applications use these supporting libraries, I'm sure they will also show similar defects. This defect shows up in both the x86 and x86_64 versions of SUSE. I've personally observed it in all of the x86 versions since SuSE 9.1, and in the 9.3, 10.0, and 10.1 x86_64 versions. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
