Well, I'm afraid I can't help here. My work with sqlite in the zypp-zmd-backend
is purely based on Tambet Ingos work on the libredcarpet-zmd-backend.

But the way the backend interacts with the sqlite database is quite different
from zmd. The backend is mostly a consumer, writing only tables prepared by
zmd.

The sqlite library in the only C based library (as fas as I'm aware of), which
is directly linked to ZMDs Mono code.
To me, as this is a Mono exeception, it looks more like a bug in ZMDs call
sequence to sqlite or in the Mono<->C bindings.

Hmm, I just saw 'architecture = powerpc'. Is this bug reproducible in x86 ?
